2% Salicylic Acid (BHA) with Encapsulation Technology
A BHA, or beta hydroxy acid, that is considered the gold standard for blemish prevention. It is able to soften and dissolve keratin molecules , a protein that blocks pores by causing skin cells to stick together. Salicylic acid is oil soluble, meaning it can penetrate deep into the pores to break down dead skin cells and sebum to clear blockages.

Salicylic acid is chemically related to aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid and has similar anti-inflammatory benefits. It is able to reduce the inflammation of red and sore blemishes to help speed up the healing process.

Salicylic acid also has antibacterial properties and is able to tackle C. acnes, blemish-causing bacteria

In Press & Clear, salicylic acid is encapsulated in cyclodextrin, a crystal encapsulation system which slowly releases the salicylic acid over a prolonged period. Developed for a balance between power and gentleness on the skin, the encapsulation system helps to make Press & Clear suitable for up to everyday, twice a day use on blemish-prone, sensitive skins.

Alpha Arbutin
The type of alpha-arbutin in Press & Clear is a water-soluble, biosynthetically derived ingredient used to help fade the appearance of hyperpigmentation and post-blemish imperfections on the skin.

Alpha-arbutin is able to block melanin synthesis by being a powerful inhibitor of tyrosine activity. Tyrosinase is an important enzyme which oxidises tyrosine and DOPA in the pathway to melanin formation. Hence, alpha-arbutin is able to mitigate the potential for hyperpigmentation produced after blemishes to promote a visibly clear and even skin tone.

Alpha-Arbutin is a much gentler cousin of hydroquinone. Unlike hydroquinone, it is non-toxic to cells yet very powerful on the skin. Alpha-arbutin is very gentle on sensitive skin and in general is non-irritating.

Australian Kakadu Plum Extract
Originally found in Australia, soothing kakadu plum extract works to hydrate and support the natural skin barrier and microbiome for healthier, softer skin.

Aloe Vera
A naturally-derived ingredient which helps to soothe the skin, keeping it feeling calm and hydrated.

When your Press & Clear is empty, simply save the pump and its clear cap which fit perfectly on a Press & Clear Refill. Don’t forget to recycle your empty bottle and the aluminium cap covering the refill.



Pumps are not recyclable so reusing your pump on a new refill is more sustainable as less waste is produced. You can reuse the pump up to 5 times.

Unlock by twisting the top half of the pump anti-clockwise until it clicks to activate.

After cleansing AM and PM hold a dry reusable facial pad firmly over Press & Clear and push down 3-4 times. Sweep the pad over the complexion, avoiding the delicate eye area. Twist the pump clockwise to secure it.



We advise new users to apply once a day and note the skin’s response, then use up to twice daily.
